There are Team Zapco members around the world and all have the same goal. To advance the quality of audio and audio competition. They do this by learning from those more experienced and by teaching those with less experience.
The Team Zapco spirit is the spirit of cooperation. Members of Team Zapco are always ready to help another team member in any way needed. Whether it is ideas, advice, or physical assistance. Team members are there when called. They will help another member improve his or her tuning, they will point out anything they see that may cause another member to lose points, and they will grab their tools and offer assistance to finish a last minute install.
In short, Team Zapco members will do all in their power to make all members better and put all the Team members on the stage at the end of a show.
Of course this is a competition team. That means members of the team are expected to compete. If you are a team member you must be willing and able to attend contests and shows, both locally and regionally, and sometimes nationally. Sometimes this may involve some long hours on the road and sometimes it involves overnight stays in remote cities.
If a local Zapco dealer is having an event and he needs cars for show and demonstration he may call on Team Zapco members to help his event succeed. Team Zapco members may also enter non-audio car shows. A great car is a great car, and one with an amazing sound system is even better. A car show is a chance to show new-comers what can be done with car stereo.
Zapco members know their cars are “show” cars. That means they will “show” their cars. We are involved in the competition/show scene to increase awareness about car audio. We need Team Zapco cars to be open and on display at every show they attend. Team members are expected to invite show visitors to hear their cars and experience the effect of great music reproduced accurately. This is how we can bring more interest and more people into the car audio scene.
Sportsmanship matters. Did you win? Great! But rest assured, you will not will them all. Team members will be gracious in winning. They will display their trophies with their car and will play it for all to hear. But Team Zapco members will also be gracious on losing. After all, we were there. We got our car into the lanes and we competed. We didn’t really lose, we just got beat by a better sounding car. It just means we have to get better. We look at our score sheet, we see where we can get better and we improve, so next time we win. That’s what competition is all about.
Let’s face it. We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t enjoy it. So have fun!
